Top trending videos1/1/2024 ![]() ![]() 2023 Summer Fashion Trend: Standout SunglassesĪ model at Prada’s spring 2023 show wearing a simple slipdress, intentionally crinkled for a particularly effortless air WWD Ahead, shop the top six summer trends of 2023. But there are also lots of other things people seem to be shopping, like metallic footwear, moto-inspired leather separates, and bright, colorful dresses. There’s an obsession with ’90s minimalism that hasn’t faded, as well a newfound unapologetic love of sheer garments. When Abba gave me a rundown of the biggest trends for the months ahead, and what’s been leading the edit at Italist, I noticed plenty of them fit into this look that I love. It’s practical and a little bit sexy, with all of the makings of an outfit that won’t make you sweat but still makes you want to walk everywhere, so everyone can see it. ![]() When I think about what I want to wear for summer, I do find myself referencing the past-in particular, a photo of Carrie Bradshaw in ’90s New York wearing a sweet, sheer white puff-sleeve top with navy Adidas shorts and a red pair of peep-toe mules. “There’s also a focus on quality perhaps more than quantity, comfort more than razor-sharp statement pieces.” “The mood right now is hopeful but nostalgic, looking back into fashion’s archives,” he says. And this year, the pieces everyone wants fit into a very specific mood, at least according to Diego Abba, CEO of online Italian fashion boutique Italist. The perfect summer outfit is more of a feeling than a trend, and it’s one we want to capture before the season is really in full swing.īut there will always be trends as well. That sense of newness seems to apply to our wardrobes, too. There’s a sense that the season will never end but also that it’s never existed-as if none of us have ever felt the humid air sticking to our freckled, sunburnt skin. Every year, the first few days of summer feel eternal and unfamiliar. ![]()

Ghost buster movie full body1/1/2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() Podcast is played by newcomer Logan Kim, who is hilarious, charming, and a natural-born scene-stealer. The performances by the movie’s young actors are mostly winning, but the two standouts by far are Mckenna Grace’s Phoebe and her first-ever friend, who calls himself Podcast because he hosts one. Adults like Paul Rudd, playing a science teacher named Gary Gruberson, show up to offer the kids some help, or at least some funny exposition. There are sweeping scenes of kids getting into trouble, and discovering first crushes and first friends. Rather than a witty one-liner comedy like the first two movies, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is more like an Amblin Entertainment movie, full of adolescent adventures and a few jokes along the way. Those kids are really the stars of this show. This movie says a Ghostbusters story can be about kids finding where they fit into the world, just as much as it can be about Bill Murray flirting with Sigourney Weaver after she’s turned into the herald of a Sumerian god. Rather than a work of pure reinvention, Afterlife feels more like an expansion of the universe, and of the limits defining what a Ghostbusters movie can be. Instead, Reitman focuses on building strong characters - something he excelled at in his previous movies, like Up in the Air and Juno - and bringing them into the Ghostbusters world. ![]() There’s no attempt to form a new Ghostbusting team, or to recapture the magic and chemistry of the original stars. The most commendable part of Afterlife may be its structure, and how little it looks like the original Ghostbusters, even though the movies’ stories share more than a few similarities. Trevor and Phoebe don’t idolize the Ghostbusters - they’ve barely even heard of them, which leaves the enthusiasm for the fans in the theater, rather forcing it out of the actors on screen. Unlike other recent long-delayed sequels, like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Afterlife sidesteps the worst nostalgia traps by making children its primary characters. The one real exception is a cloying moment near the end of the movie that sends it hurtling over the nostalgia cliff, and sours the whole experience a bit. These moments of nostalgia are littered all over the place, and the references are mostly harmless fan service - even if it occasionally feels like the camera lingers too long on a prop or two from the original movie. Inside the house, Egon left seemingly hundreds of tools, gadgets, and Ghostbusting paraphernalia for Phoebe and Trevor to discover, and for longtime fans to cheer over. The movie overall is a touching tribute to Ramis, the co-writer and co-star of the original films, who passed away in 2014. As it turns out, her father also happened to be Egon Spengler, the former Ghostbuster originally played by Harold Ramis. Ghostbusters: Afterlife follows Callie ( The Leftovers’ Carrie Coon) and her children Trevor ( Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard), and Phoebe (Mckenna Grace), as they move from their life in the city to a broken-down farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, which Callie’s estranged father owned and died in. But it also acknowledges the nostalgia that longtime fans may feel for the original story - sometimes at the expense of the new story Reitman is telling. Like so many other franchises these days, the new movie concentrates on handing over a familiar property to newer, younger characters. Its director and co-writer, Jason Reitman, is the son of Ivan Reitman, who directed both the original 1984 Ghostbusters and its 1989 sequel. The newest movie in the franchise is a direct sequel to Ghostbusters 2, which was released more than 30 years ago. ![]() After more than a year of pandemic-related scheduling delays, Ghostbusters: Afterlife finally made it to theaters. ![]()

Perfect diet tracker iphone1/1/2024 ![]() ![]() It’s all geared towards upgrading to its premium tier, where you choose one of a selection of human coaches to oversee your progress – all of whom are licensed, working nutritionists. HAPIcoach gets you to set goals in the same way as the other apps, but also asks you to rate your motivation and how long you’re willing to spend on the process every day. You’ll then get an analysis back on how impressive your kale salad habits are (or how unimpressive your KFC and kebab habits are). You start by logging 10 meals in five days: not by looking up ingredients and their calories, but by taking photos of them with your smartphone camera. HAPIcoach takes a different approach to most of its rivals: it’s less about numbers and self-tracking, and more about real nutritionists casting their expert eyes over what you’re eating and drinking. The pro tier costs £7.99 a month, £14.99 every three months or £29.99 a year, adding healthy recipes and access to private groups of people with similar habits and goals to you, to gee one another along. Noom Coach is a decent basic tracker, but its most useful features are contained within its premium tier, which gets you to input information like how sedentary your weekdays and weekends are, your favourite activities and motivations for fitness, then creates a custom plan for you. There’s less to offer than rivals in terms of social features to connect to your friends, however. On iOS, Noom Coach integrates with Apple’s HealthKit, which in turn can pull in data from other fitness apps and devices. Logging meals and snacks is quick and easy, but one of Noom Coach’s key differences is its traffic-lights system classifying food into green, yellow and red categories based on their calorie counts, with the app recommending that you try to make 30% of your intake green foods, 45% yellow and 25% red. Noom Coach features the same basic features as its rivals: you tell it how much weight you want to lose and the pace at which you want to lose it – turtle, rabbit or cheetah speed – and it uses that information to set your goal. It offers more tracking (hydration, sleep, body fat etc) more detailed nutritional reports more features for meal and exercise planning, and a wider range of challenges including the ability to create your own. Lose It is also free at its basic level, but its premium tier costs £29.99 a year. There are also groups around topics like cycling and cooking to meet likeminded users, and the ability to add friends using their email addresses. Lose It’s challenges are a key feature: choosing specific goals like a maximum carbs limit, or simply logging in regularly, and then comparing yourself to others in rankings tables. The ability to browse menus from popular restaurant brands, from KFC to Nando’s, is also handy. Graphs on your intake, nutrients and steps are very clear, while the process for logging your meals, snacks and exercise is quick and easy too, whether you’re searching for ingredients or scanning barcodes. Like its rivals, it starts by getting you to set a goal: using your current and target weights, height, gender and desired pace of weight loss to assign a daily “budget” for your food intake. Lose It is one of the apps that puts the emphasis firmly on losing weight, as the name suggests. It removes the ads bumps you up the queue for customer support lets you dig deeper into “macronutrients” in your diet provides recipe meal plans, and enables you to fine-tune your daily goals and nutritional plans. ![]() ![]() MyFitnessPal is free with advertising, but it has a premium tier costing £7.99 a month or £39.99 a year. Adding friends via Facebook, your phone contacts or email can provide encouragement, while the app also provides access to forums to swap tips with a bustling community of strangers. You can set goals for weight, nutrition and fitness, with simple but clear graphs showing how you’re doing. The app also connects to a wide range of wearable fitness-bands and health apps too: for example, I have data feeding in to it from my Fitbit band and RunKeeper exercise-tracking app. MyFitnessPal also doubles as an exercise tracker: it’ll calculate calories burned from activities from running and rowing to abdominal crunches and even mowing the lawn. It has a huge database of more than 5m foods, with helpful green-tick symbols marking those where their nutritional information has been verified as accurate. The app makes it easy to log your meals and snacks, either by searching for them or scanning product barcodes. MyFitnessPal is the most high-profile calorie counter, with more than 80 million users by the time it was bought for $475m by sports brand Under Armour in February 2015. ![]()

Tangerine bowl thursday specials1/1/2024 ![]() ![]() The current Alabama head coach's six national titles are tied with Bear Bryant for the most in the modern era and the future Hall of Famer is a four-time SEC Coach of the Year. He got his start coaching as a graduate assistant for Don James immediately after his playing career ended and earned his first head coaching job in 1990 at Toledo. The Kent State graduate and former Flash defensive back needs no introduction. When you think college football coaches, you think Nick Saban. He is the winningest coach in both Toledo and Missouri school history and was a two-time MAC Coach of the Year and SEC Coach of the Year once. He won 73 games in 10 years for the Rockets before taking over at Missouri for 15 seasons where he totaled 118 wins. Following the 1990 season, Pinkel took over for his former teammate Nick Saban as the head coach at Toledo. He was an All-MAC tight end and followed his head coach Don James to Washington as an assistant, where he won a national title. The tight end on the '72 Flashes was none other than Gary Pinkel. Lambert went on to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the mid 1970s and is most notably remembered as a member of the "Steel Curtain." He finished his career a four-time Super Bowl Champion, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and was a member of the 1990 Pro Football Hall of Fame class where he was called the greatest linebacker of his era. During his time for the Blue and Gold, Lambert lined up as both a defensive end and a linebacker, and his 233 tackles in the '72 season alone is most likely an untouchable school record. He was lightly recruited, and fell into the waiting arms of the local school. Lambert came to Kent State by accident in 1970 after playing quarterback for Mantua High School. Kent State linebacker Jack Lambert was named the lineman of the game and was the anchor of the 1972 defense. Names like Saban, Lambert, James and Bruce graced the sidelines in what has to be one of the most random collections of star power talent the sport has ever seen. Their reward for the championship was an invitation to play in the Tangerine Bowl, a precursor to the modern-day Citrus Bowl, against the Tampa Spartans. ![]() ![]() The 1972 Golden Flashes are one of the most fondly remembered teams in school history and captured the school's only Mid-American Conference title in the final game of the regular season. Jacob Pavilack, the radio field analyst for the Golden Flashes, will be profiling influential Kent State players and coaches as well as historical moments from the program's history as part of College Football's 150th Anniversary. ![]()

Discover flow top up1/1/2024 ![]() ![]() Blocked or Damaged Air Ventsīlocked or damaged air vents can restrict the flow of cool air into the car’s cabin, resulting in reduced cooling capacity. Regularly cleaning the condenser with compressed air or taking it to a professional Mechanic for thorough cleaning can help restore its functionality and improve cooling performance. Over time, the condenser can become clogged with dirt, debris, or bugs, hindering the heat dissipation process and reducing the cooling efficiency. The condenser is responsible for releasing heat from the refrigerant, allowing it to cool down and circulate through the system again. If you suspect a faulty compressor, it is essential to seek professional assistance from an Auto-Electrician or Mechanic as repairing or replacing a compressor requires specialised knowledge and tools. There are various reasons why a compressor may fail, including electrical issues, mechanical failure, or lack of maintenance. If the compressor is faulty or not functioning optimally, it can lead to inadequate cooling and be the reason why your car air conditioning is not cold. ![]() The compressor plays a crucial role in the air conditioning system by compressing the refrigerant and circulating it through the system. You should technically only be refilling your refrigerant with R134a, refrigerant which is the golden standard and must only be handled by a profession due to the dangers caused from mishandling. In fact, your car lose up to 10% of its refrigerant every year, so if you are already flicked to max and still sweating, you may be in need of a top up. To address this issue, if you are running low on refrigerant, it is advisable to consult a mobile air conditioning regas service, who can refill the refrigerant to the appropriate level. Several factors can contribute to low refrigerant levels, such as leaks or normal wear and tear over time. ![]() When the refrigerant level is low, the AC system cannot cool the air effectively – it’s the main source for your AC. Refrigerant is the substance responsible for absorbing heat from the air and cooling it down. Arguably the most common cause for why your car air conditioning is not cold, is simply due to low refrigerant level. ![]()

Eric clapton layla unplugged1/1/2024 ![]() ![]() The two hit it off well and soon became good friends. Clapton and Allman, already mutual fans, were introduced by Tom Dowd at an Allman Brothers concert on 26 August 1970. ĭuring the recording of the Layla album, Duane Allman joined Clapton's fledgling band as a guest. Naming themselves Derek and the Dominos, the band "made our bones", according to Clapton, while backing Harrison on his first post-Beatles solo album, All Things Must Pass. Seizing the opportunity, Clapton formed a new group with Whitlock, Radle and Gordon. In the spring of 1970, he was told that some members of Delaney & Bonnie's back-up band, including bassist Carl Radle, drummer Jim Gordon and keyboardist Bobby Whitlock, were leaving the group. Writing and recording Īfter the break-up of Cream, Clapton tried his hand with several groups, including Blind Faith and the husband-and-wife duo Delaney & Bonnie. ![]() During their relationship, Clapton wrote another love ballad for Boyd, " Wonderful Tonight" (1977). ![]() Harrison was not bitter about the divorce and attended Clapton's wedding party with his former bandmates Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney. īoyd divorced Harrison in 1977 and married Clapton in 1979 during a concert stop in Tucson, Arizona. Nizami's tale, about a moon princess who was married off by her father to a man she did not love, resulting in Majnun's madness, struck a deep chord with Clapton. ![]() The title of "Layla" was inspired by the story of Layla and Majnun, which Clapton had been told by his friend Ian Dallas, who was in the process of converting to Islam. However, between his tenures in Cream and Blind Faith, Clapton fell in love with Boyd. Clapton contributed uncredited (although openly acknowledged) guitar work on Harrison's song " While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on the Beatles' self-titled double album (also known as the White Album), and Harrison co-wrote and played guitar on Cream's " Badge" from Goodbye. During the late 1960s, Clapton and Harrison became close friends. In 1966, Beatles guitarist George Harrison married Pattie Boyd, a model he met two years before during the filming of A Hard Day's Night. In 2004, "Layla" was ranked number 27 on Rolling Stone 's list of " The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time", and the acoustic version won the 1993 Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. Two versions have achieved chart success, the first in 1972 and the second 20 years later as an acoustic Unplugged performance by Clapton. "Layla" has since its release experienced great critical and popular acclaim, and is often hailed as being among the greatest rock songs of all time. After Harrison and Boyd divorced, Clapton and Boyd eventually married. The song was further inspired by Clapton's secret love for Pattie Boyd, the wife of his friend and fellow musician George Harrison. The book moved Clapton profoundly, because it was the tale of a young man who fell hopelessly in love with a beautiful young girl, went crazy and so could not marry her. The song was inspired by a love story that originated in 7th-century Arabia and later formed the basis of The Story of Layla and Majnun by the 12th-century Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi, a copy of which Ian Dallas had given to Clapton. The piano part has also been controversially credited to Rita Coolidge, Gordon's girlfriend at the time. Its contrasting movements were composed separately by Clapton and Gordon. " Layla" is a song written by Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon, originally recorded with their band Derek and the Dominos, as the thirteenth track from their only studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (1970).
